Before you start
Withdrawing is the last of three stages, and it only pays out what's already sitting in your withdrawable balance. If you haven't funded and moved a balance yet, start with the how to tip guide instead. Here's the whole journey in one line: fund your tipping balance, move it to your withdrawable balance by tipping your own address, then withdraw it to Xaman. Each arrow below is one real step.
The stepsInteractive
- 1
Sign in with X
Your tipping balance is held against your X account, not a wallet. Signing in on the homepage is what lets TipBot show it to you.
- 2
Get your tipping balance above zero
Either add funds from Xaman on the dashboard, or have someone tip your @handle on X. Either way, the money lands in your tipping balance first, not your wallet.
- 3
Move it to your withdrawable balance
This is the step that surprises people: it isn't a click, it's a tweet. Tipping your own Xahau address is what makes a balance withdrawable.
@xahtipbot withdraw 10 XAH to rYourXahauAddress
The dashboard has a button that drafts this exact tweet for you, with your real address and amount already filled in, so you never have to type it by hand. You just review it and post it.
- 4
Give it a moment to register
Once the tweet posts, the bot picks it up and updates the hook's records. This is usually quick, but if your withdrawable balance doesn't show the change right away, refresh the dashboard and check again in a minute.
- 5
Connect Xaman on the dashboard
Connecting proves you own that Xahau address. It's the key that unlocks your withdrawable balance and the Withdraw action next to it, nothing more: connecting and disconnecting are both safe. TipBot remembers the wallet you connected last, so sign requests can go straight to your Xaman app.
- 6
Withdraw
Pick the currency and amount, then sign the request in Xaman. TipBot sends a request to the hook, and the hook pays that amount out to your connected address. You'll see a status update on the dashboard once it's dispatched.
Common questions
Why is my withdrawable balance zero?
Because nothing has moved it there yet. Deposits and incoming tips only ever add to your tipping balance. Withdrawable balance only grows when a tip specifically targets a raddress, step 3 above, usually your own.
Can I skip the tweet and withdraw straight from my tipping balance?
No. Tipping, including tipping yourself, is the only way money moves between those two balances. There's no button that bypasses it.
Does connecting Xaman link it to my Twitter account permanently?
No. Connecting proves that you control a specific address, so the dashboard can show its withdrawable balance and let you cash it out. TipBot remembers the wallet you connected most recently, so sign requests can go straight to your Xaman app; connect a different wallet whenever you want and it replaces the old one. It never gives TipBot any control over your wallet.
I tipped myself, but the site still shows a locked withdrawable balance.
That card unlocks once Xaman is connected, not automatically once you tip. Head to the dashboard and connect the same address you tipped to see the amount.
